The Steinermandl panoramic platform
Here’s a foretaste
Located on the peak of the same name at an altitude of 2,118 metres, the Steinermandl panoramic platform offers a fantastic all-round view of the Pfunders mountains and other peaks. The path to the platform is a great choice for a family day out.
The Steinermandl panoramic platform in detail
Despite its mountaintop location, the Steinermandl panoramic platform is very easy to get to. From the mountain terminal of the Jochtal cable car, follow path number 1A for about 2.5 kilometres past the Ochsenalm pasture – it’s a 93-metre climb that will take you more or less 45 minutes. Along the way, seize the opportunity to take in the fantastic view of the surrounding mountains – Instagram-worthy shots are guaranteed!
To get back, you can either walk the same route in the opposite direction or – as we recommend – make it a circular hike continuing along the path towards the Hubertus-Stöckl panoramic platform and the Anratterhütte hut, where recharging before tackling the way back will make a wonderful excuse for indulging with a delicious Kaiserschmarrn or a slice of apple strudel. Another circular hike we heartily recommend is the Alpine hut trail (Almhüttenrundweg), which leads past the Nockalm pasture.
