Cross-country skiing holidays in Vals
Here’s a foretaste
With a total length of 7 kilometres and a 60-metre elevation gain, the circular cross-country ski trail in Vals winds through vast meadows and woods covered in generous snow. The starting point is right by the Jochtal lift valley terminal.
The circular XC ski trail in detail
One of the best things about cross-country skiing is that it gives you plenty of opportunity to soak up the idyllic snowscape around as you rhythmically slide your way along this meticulously maintained trail, which is suitable for both skating and classic styles. The point where you cross the Vallerbach stream is just below the Kurzkofelhütte hut, where you can grab a bite before continuing along the Fane Alm trail to the village.
From there, the trail forms a loop, and you have two options: you can take the loop or stay on your course, which leads straight back to the valley terminal.
How to get there
The best access point to the trail is by the valley terminal of the Jochtal cable car, where parking is available.
