When you come hiking or cycling in the Gitschberg Jochtal holiday area, you will soon discover that the view is not the only highlight. A stopover in one of the many Alpine huts and refuges scattered across the landscape is an experience in its own right. Sit in the cosy parlours or outside on the sunny terraces and sample tempting traditional dishes as you take in the vista. A popular destination for walks and excursion, this cos hut at the end of the Altfasstal valley also be reached with prams and bikes. It´s a traditional alpine farm with its own cheese dairy, and it offers overnight accommodation as well as a bike hire and a natural playground with many animals.
